BagsFollow Safe Tag
These Terms of Use govern your use of the BagsFollow Safe Tag service and the bagsfollow.com website, provided by UMV BİLGİSAYAR YAZILIM TUR SAN TİC LTD ŞTİ (“Company”, “BagsFollow”, “We”). By using the service, you agree to these terms.
1. Description and Scope of the Service
BagsFollow Safe Tag is a QR-code-based tracking service that helps lost luggage be found faster at airports. For a one-time fee of €5, the passenger purchases a unique QR code and places it inside their bag. When the bag is found, the responsible unit scans the code and reaches the passenger.
The product is a passive QR code that is battery-free, contains no electronic components and complies with civil aviation rules. The service is valid for 21 days from the date of purchase.
2. User Obligations and Conditions of Acceptance
- You are responsible for ensuring that the information you provide at purchase is accurate, current and complete.
- You agree to use the QR code only on your own luggage and not to share or duplicate it for third parties.
- You undertake not to use the service in any unlawful, misleading manner or in a way that infringes the rights of others.
- If you are under 18, you may use the service only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
3. Intellectual Property Rights
All intellectual property rights in the website and service, including all software, design, logos, trademarks, text and images, belong to the Company or its licensors. This content may not be copied, reproduced or used for commercial purposes without the Company’s written permission.
4. Limitation of Liability and Disclaimer of Warranty
BagsFollow Safe Tag is an assistive system that facilitates the recovery of luggage; it does not guarantee that a bag will be found. The airline’s legal liabilities for lost baggage (Montreal Convention, etc.) remain fully in force and are independent of this service.
If your bag is not found within 21 days, the €100 refund guarantee provided by the Company applies. This guarantee is not an insurance product; it is a direct commercial commitment by BagsFollow and is subject to the fulfilment of the relevant guarantee conditions. The Company shall not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages.
5. Privacy and Use of Personal Data
Personal data processed within the scope of the service is handled in compliance with the Turkish Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698 (KVKK) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Your data is used solely for baggage tracking, communication and the fulfilment of legal obligations. For details, please see our Privacy Policy.
6. Changes to the Terms
The Company reserves the right to update these Terms of Use at any time. Updated terms take effect on the date they are published on this page. Your continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
7. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. The Courts and Execution Offices of Antalya have jurisdiction over any disputes arising from these terms. For consumer transactions, the competence of the relevant consumer arbitration committees and consumer courts is reserved.
